Time is just flying by and we are on the 5 week count down. This week we went to the doctor for our last bi-monthly appointment and it was pretty short and sweet. She did the normal listening to the heart beat, which was so loud this time and said we would be checking things out next week. She also said that she thought Annabelle was getting big and wanted to do a sono to check her size. We already had a sono on the calendar for next Monday, to check my placenta placement, so we are going to check out both in one visit. She said big babies are great, she just wants to make sure she doesn't get too big. Seeing that Andy and I both were larger babies, I can't imagine Annabelle being small, but we will see.
Tuesday night I took my sisters to the Kayne/Jay-Z concert. Our tickets were so good and they put on a wonderful performance. Annabelle enjoyed the show, as she was very active. The people sitting in the seats around us were quite entertaining and provided some great names to name her. In addition to their name recommendations, they also were devising a birth plan in case I went into labor. It was very comical and made the night that much better.
To top it off we had another Chiefs experience and Dexter McCluster gave some lovin' to Annabelle. She loves the Chiefs already :)
Details on Baby this week:
This week baby doesn't have much room to maneuver now that she's over 18 inches long and tips the scales at 5 1/4 pounds. Because it's so snug in your womb, she isn't likely to be doing somersaults anymore, but the number of times she kicks should remain about the same. Her kidneys are fully developed now, and herliver can process some waste products. Most of her basic physical development is now complete — she'll spend the next few weeks putting on weight.
