Christmas

Having received the news on Friday, we would have had the longest three days of our lives, but fortunately it was Christmas and our Saturday and Sunday were full of family time!  Saturday morning I woke up with some pretty strong contractions.  I had lost my mucus plug on Friday and from what I read, a good majority of women go into labor within 24 to 48 hours of losing theirs.  So with the contractions and the passage of that, I thought we could be having a Christmas baby.  Needless to say, we did not, and had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Christmas Eve we did our traditional bowling outing and yes I did bowl.  I would waddle up to the lane, throw my ball and waddle back.  My back had been killing me all week long because when she dropped, she was lying on my nerve, so moving was extremely hard...but I wasn't going to pass up bowling.

Christmas was once again amazing to be with our families and reflect on what the next year would bring.  My contractions were getting more frequent and some more intense, but never the 5-1-1 (5 minutes apart, one minute long for one hour straight), that means you are in labor. I think everyone was hoping my water would break and I would go in labor, but we made it through the day and night without having to go to the hospital.  It was a wonderful day and we could not wait until the next day!!
