This week our little munchkin is the size of an apple. 4 inches long and 2-1/2 ounces. I’ve been feeling a lot of stomach stretching and moving the past week. My clothes are starting to fit tighter and tighter and my wardrobe options are becoming few and far between. Fortunately it is summer time and I can throw on cotton dresses every day. I am headed to NYC tomorrow for work, which I have been dreading. I’m already a little anxious about traveling, let alone feeling this way and not being able to take a xanax or other calming remedy (wine). I told my team today that if I was throwing up or suddenly removing myself from a meeting or meal, it is because I’m pregnant. Maybe getting it out there will help me get through the next couple days.
For you wondering if I’ve been feeling any better…the answer is NO J I thought I was having a couple “decent” days, but I was quickly put back with another highway incident…today actually. The urges seem to come on stronger at the end of the day and hit me like a ton of bricks. So much for morning sickness, mine is all day/night sickness. We’ve got our hands full!
Our next doctor’s appointment is Friday. I love having these appointments to look forward to and thinking of all the questions we want to ask the doctor. We too get to schedule our in-depth sono next Friday. We cannot wait to find out what our little baby is. At this point Andy is thinking girl and I’m thinking boy. Wonder who is right?!?! I cannot wait to get my hands on our little love. Only 175 days left!
Pregnancy Moment of the Week: I was driving to meet my mom and sisters at Nordstrom last Saturday when a Carrie Underwood song came on the radio. It was “All American Girl” that has been out for years now and one I’ve heard numerous times. Well for some reason it struck a chord and I started balling thinking about Andy being a dad to a little girl and how sweet he’ll be. Holy hormones!!
