Dr. Appt and 29 weeks!!

This week little miss Annabelle is weighing in at about 3 pounds, the size of a squash!  How appropriate for this time of year.  Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain.  We had a doctor's appointment this week and it went great.  Andy was unable to come, so my mom came along for support.  Dr. Galvin spent more time than usual in the room, so it was nice to chat with her.  We got to hear her heartbeat and it was music to the ears.  I am measuring right on schedule and her placement in my tum is normal (not low).  I've been having some pressure so inquired about that, which is completely normal she said.  She also checked my cervix to be sure and it was where it should be at this point in my pregnancy.

This past weekend Andy and my mom were busy with her dresser.  After rounds of deliberation we determined we would paint her dresser pink.  Andy painted it Sunday morning and then my mom came over Sunday afternoon to stain it.  It turned out so cute!  Now I'm searching for knobs to complete the piece.

Here's a look at my tum and one of my favorite mascots...KC Wolf!  He joined the VML media team today for some fun, and I got in on a belly comparison.  I sure do love those Chiefs...win or lose.

I had gained 8 pounds in 5 weeks...Ekkk.  She said it was fine, which made me feel good, but that still seems like a hefty load in a short amount of time.  Goal is to only gain 11 more pounds between now and Annabelle's arrival.

In 25 hours we will be seeing our little munchkin on the big screen.  I am so excited for the appointment and to see her face.  It has been 11 weeks and so much has changed.  I just pray that everything looks good and we can embrace this 3D experience.  Following the 3D ultrasound we have our first baby shower on Sunday!  I am so excited to see my friends and family and celebrate this exciting journey.  What a fun, wonderful weekend we have in store.
