Couple's Baby Shower - LIT Monster!

This Saturday will go down in pregnancy memories.  Two of our best friends, Brockus' and Starrs' hosted us a couple's baby shower.  We had been looking forward to this night for a long time and it was worth the wait.  The theme for the evening was "Tea Time" and the decor was super cute.  The party was an evening cocktail party and we were once again showered by our friends and family.  Long island ice teas were served in mason jars, an adorable hand painted "A" hung on the front door and decorations in her nursery colors filled the house.

 Hostesses!!
A few highlights from the night included Baby Olympics.  They had put together a game of 4 different categories in which Andy, Heath and John participated.  The first task was to see who could put together a puzzle the quickest. Andy didn't fare to well in that department and had a difficult time putting the pieces together.

The second task was to see who could change the babies diaper the fastest.  This might have been one of the funniest parts of the night, as Andy's diaper was filled with chocolate chips and the other two boys were completely clean.  Instead of delicately pulling off the diaper, Andy decided to rip the diaper off, which made the "pop" go flying all over, threw the diaper on the baby only to find that he had taped the babies arms in the diaper.  It was hysterical.

The third task was to guess what type of baby food they were tasting and he got that one right.

Finishing with the bottle game.  We had done this at another couple's shower we had thrown, so Andy knew what was in store.  The hostess' had cut the nipples of the other two bottles so the boys could easily suck the beer out and left Andy's normal.  Once again he entertained us by ripping off the entire nipple with his teeth and chugging his beer the fastest.  It was too classic.

The night ended around 2:00 am after a couple hours of dancing.  Nothing like partying until the wee hours at 34 weeks pregnant!  It was a great time and a perfect way to celebrate the close arrival of Annabelle.

The night was so fun and we were so happy to share it with our friends and family.  We received so many amazing, generous gifts and once again could not be more thankful for the incredible support we have!

Here are some photos from the night:

Andy's favorite gift of the night...a little vacuum cleaner for Annabelle.
