Mom and Dad on Vaca

Andy and I went to Illinois and Michigan to visit some of our good friends for a long weekend.  We both have left Annabelle since she's been born, but this was the first time we were leaving town together.  I was sad about leaving, but was also looking forward to some alone time with Andy.  It's amazing how little time you get for just the two of you, so was glad we were going away, although I knew we were going to miss AB like crazy!

Our trip was an absolute blast and we had such a wonderful time with Melissa and Jason.  Thursday night we went to RPM, a swanky Chicago restaurant, owned by Bill and Juliana ( a TV show that we watch), so that was fun.  We had a delicious dinner and then went out to experience the big city life ;) Friday we shopped downtown and then headed out to Michigan later in the day.  We stayed at Jason’s parents cottage Friday night and woke up bright and early Saturday morning to head to the Michigan State/Nebraska football game.  It was so cool to see another school, outside of the BIG 12, tailgate and experience their stadium.  They had a similar feel to KSU, but on a larger scale.  Unfortunately Michigan State lost, but we made it home in time to watch our Wildcats pull off another victory.

Outside of the fun we had, we missed Annabelle like crazy.  Friday night we laid in bed and scrolled through the thousands of pictures I have on my phone and watched all the videos of her.  I felt like I was missing something the whole weekend.  Sunday afternoon could not come soon enough and we were SOOOO excited to see her when we got back.  Thankfully I don’t think she realized we were gone and won’t remember us leaving her J

On our way to RPM!  Melissa made reservations 3 months ago and we still had a 9:00 reservation.

Andy and I at dinner.

Annabelle on walk.  She loves being outside.

Andy and I at the game that was 20 degrees the entire time.  We were so freezing and tailgated from 8:00 - to 3:00 game time :)  Burrr.  Thank goodness for cocktails!

Don't worry mom I'm in great hands!!!!
