First time leaving Annabelle

This past weekend was my first time to leave Annabelle.  I had planned a trip with my girlfriends to visit Abbey in Chicago.  A much needed girlfriends trip.  Although I was super excited to have a weekend of fun, I was also dreading leaving her.  Thankfully both Runge and Leah have little ones so they too could relate and it wasn't their first time, so reminded me of how important it is to have some "alone" time.

I knew saying good-bye was going to be hard, but had a fun weekend in store.  Andy and Annabelle drove me to the airport so I could spend more time with them and also have them pick me up when I got home.  It was such an amazing weekend and we had an absolute blast.  I think since Annabelle was with Andy the whole time it made it easier to be away.  He sent me pictures throughout the weekend and kept me posted on their whereabouts.  He loved spending the weekend with her and got some awesome daddy time.
It was amazing to come home to them and missed them terribly!!!

Here are some pictures from the weekend:
On our way to the airport to drop me off.  I was crying in the backseat and Annabelle was just smiling looking at me.  I think she was like, why are you sad Mom?

First night out with the girls.  Funny story from the night:  Runge asked a guy to take a picture of us girls, so after he did he started talking to Runge and was thinking she was pretty good looking (because she is).  He was younger and trying to be really cool and asking her if she was going to Instagram the picture and that he should follow her on Instragram.  She was kind of laughing and said, well most of my Instagram pictures are of my son.  And he quickly ran away.  Funny how things have changed :)

Friday afternoon we shopped all day.  It was pretty nice out and we went to a cute part of town that had some great stores. Seeing that I am still breastfeeding, I needed to pump.  So I set up shop in the car, draped a blanket over me and pumped while people walked back and forth within arms length.  I then had to carry my milk around with me, since it was too hot to leave it in the car, so it made the trip out with us shopping and eating and drinking at the best place ever "Big Star".  Oh the things we do for our children :)

Andy and Annabelle took a ton of walks and explored the neighborhood.  He sent me lots of photos throughout their days and seemed to keep our little one pretty darn happy!   Imagine that :)!!!!
