7 Months Old

Wow, I really can’t believe how quickly Annabelle is growing up.  Each month she continues to amaze us with her growth, personality, smiles, attitude and best of all love.  She is the sweetest little thing ever.  Partial I know because she is our daughter.  This month Annabelle learned the fun of toys.  She is so intrigued with everything around her and wants to put everything in her mouth.  She loves things that make noise and feel good on her teeth.  She loves Sophie the giraffe.  She is a drooling fool and looks to be getting some more teeth up top.  We are in 6-9 month clothing, but mostly 9 month.  Her 6 month sleepers don’t fit her anymore L  We are still eating about every 3 hours throughout the day.  Sometimes she goes longer, naps over her feeding, or only takes half her bottle.  Now that she is on solids, I think she gets filled up with those too!  She loves her fruits!!  I think bananas are her favorite.  She likes her veggies, but is not a fan of the green ones yet.  I keep bringing those to daycare, so they have to feed them to her and not us.  She is still only on breastmilk, but we are going to start transitioning her to some formula.  I can’t keep up with her demand and the time it requires pumping at work is draining on me.  What we thought was an incredible supply of frozen milk is quickly dwindling away.

She is still a good sleeper.  We continue to have our nights where we are up needing the paci, but for the most part she sleeps through the night.  Just when I think we are in a total groove, she gets a tooth or will have a restless night.  We rock her to sleep every night and she goes down anywhere between 8-9.  Closer to the 9 hour it seems this past month.  She still wakes up at 6:00 every morning.  We keep saying that we need her to go down a little earlier so she gets more sleep, but find it difficult with us both working.  Selfishly we want to spend time with her after work, so don’t mind her staying up a little later.  Some nights we all get in bed together and she falls asleep in our arms and we just let her sleep there while we watch TV until we go to bed.

She loves her bouncer!  We play it in every morning while I get the bags loaded and dogs out.  She can sit completely fine on her own now and loves when you hold her up so she is standing upright.  She is showing some interest in crawling, but will attempt to lean forward and then just roll over.  Her spitting up has slowed down and it’s not as much or as frequent as it was last month.  Her bowels are still in full force.  She is a blow-out machine.

Daycare arrangements are still going well.  They absolutely love her there.  Ms. Donita says she is the smiliest baby she has ever had.  Ms. Angel calls her “Annie” and they seem to take good care of her.  It’s still amazing how hard some mornings are leaving her and how I wish I could be with her during the days.  Last week they said she will move over to Infant 1B for the start of Fall session.  Tear…she is growing up.  Sharon and Mark love their Tuesday’s with her and I like when they have her too.  It’s so fun to get pictures throughout the day and hear what she is doing.  And they too absolutely love her…they are proud grandparents!

Another month of incredible bliss and the best memories thanks to our little stinker.
