Friday night we attended a school party for Annabelle. The week was "Week of the Young Child", so everyday at school they had a theme. PJ, Beach, School Picture, etc. Friday night was then the party night, so we signed up, thinking we should go and be involved. I didn't read the details closely (seems to be a common thing lately), and thought it was at her daycare, but it was at a VFW for all 3 Special Beginnings in the KC Metro. So needless to say we drove out to the VFW, for a very interesting experience. It was more like a carnival and the crowd was somewhat interesting. All Annabelle’s teachers were there and came over to say hi and tell us how much they love her. Duh…!! We stayed for 45 minutes and then decided we needed a beer. I think the decision came when everyone started signing “The Wheels on the Bus”. Fortunately Lizzie, Manny and Avery were there too, so we had each other to hang out with. Avery had a good time, so it made us realize these are things that will now consume our Friday and Saturday nights J And so it begins…Family Fun Night!
