AB turned 3 months today!! What an amazing 3 months it has been. She is becoming more and more fun each day, as her personality is starting to develop. She is the smiliest baby I've seen. Her grin is the cutest thing ever and she loves to smile and squeal back at us. She is starting to talk more and more and definitely reacts to us. She loves her mobile and kicks and squeals at it. She is getting pretty strong and can hold her head up for a few seconds. She hasn't mastered holding it up without falling over, but can keep it upright if she's against something. She is in #2 diapers and is about to bust out of her 3 month clothing. She can fit into some still, but has more room in the 6 month clothes. She is eating about 5 ounces of BM every 3 hours during the day. We have found our hands and we LOVE them. We love them so much we have little sores on our thumb knuckles from sucking on them. We stopped swaddling AB a couple weeks before I went back to work, as I did not want to have to break that habit once I was back and needing my sleep. She did great with the transition and it did not bother her one bit. I was nervous to not have her swaddled, but our doctor said once she showed signs of rolling over to stop, since she will then at that point need her hands. We never swaddled during the day naps, so think that helped with her not being completely dependent on that to sleep.
We are still sleeping great through the night. We eat about 9:00 every night and go down around 10:00 - 10:30 and sleep until 5:00 - 6:00. Being back at work has thrown a little kink in things, but for the more part staying pretty true to our schedule. She is still breastfeeding and solely on breast milk. Pumping at work is all but fun and convenient. It's more difficult than I thought to schedule 3 times a day to slip away to pump and there are 4 other women pumping so we have to schedule it on a whiteboard. It would be easier if I could do it at my leisure, but I have to abide to the schedule, as we all pump out of the same room. The first week has been hard, but I'm hoping I can find time and not feel like I can only get 2 times in a day and effect my milk supply.
Here are some photos of our little bean:
I absolutely love this photo as it shows off her tum!!! Andy had a similar roundness to his belly when he was a babe, so think it's hilarious to see her just smiling away after swallowing a soccer ball.
I love my hands!!
