Rice Cereal - No thank you

At Annabelle's 4 month appointment the doctor told us she was ready for rice cereal.  He said that she could either have rice or oatmeal and to mix it with half water, half apple juice.  We went to the store that weekend and got a box of rice cereal for her to try.  I was so excited to feed her with a spoon and see her reaction to it.  Needless to say, she hated it.  She spit it out all over, did not like anything about it and let us know.  Thinking it was the rice cereal, we got oatmeal a couple days later and thought we should mix it with breast milk.  I had read that mixing it with breast milk was a good route if your baby was only on BM.  So we attempted the oatmeal/BM combo and got the same reaction.  Guess she's not ready. We'll try again in a couple weeks!
