Annabelle is 1 month!

Annabelle is 1 month today!  Boy has time flown by and what an amazing first month it has been. Andy was home the first two weeks after Annabelle was born, so it was so amazing to adjust to the new life as parents together.  We were able to spend time as a family and welcome Annabelle into this world.  The first couple weeks seem like such a blur, going on little to no sleep, but surprisingly I was not as tired as I thought I'd be.  I think I was going and still am going on adrenaline and don't want to miss a moment with her.

1 month overview:
Sleeping:
We are on about a 3 hour schedule.  We are on the midnight, 3:00, 6:00 schedule.  Some nights vary and we have had a couple "all nighters".  Those have been difficult as there seems to be nothing that will calm her down or make her happy.  I think she has been dealing with some gas issues, as the moment we take her out of her swaddle she has lots of gas.  I never thought farting would be so cute :)  We swaddle her every night and she has been in her crib since the third night.  We thought we would have her in our room in the pack in play, but I found myself going into the nursery to breastfeed, so we made the move to her crib much earlier than planned.

Eating:
Because I am breast feeding exclusively I am not sure how much food she is getting.  I have been paranoid about her weight gain, so have been running up to the Mommy Shop once a week to weigh her.  She has continued to gain weight and was 9 lbs. 11 oz. at the appointment.  YAY which puts her in the 75% for both weight and length.  She has also grown in length and is 21 and 1/2 inches long.
We introduced the bottle at night so Andy could feed her before going to bed.  We just started that in week 4 and it seems to be helping her sleep more soundly and gives me a break.  I think because we know how much she is getting, we know she is full before going down.

Dr. Appt:
Today we went to Dr. Espe for her one month check up.  I have been watching Avery on Friday's, since Liz has school, so the 3 of us packed up and went to the doctor.  It was a great taste of what life will be like with 2 little ones :)

Daily Life:
We have been going out every day.  The weather has been so nice, so we fortunately have been able to get out every day whether it's meeting friends for lunch, running errands, or just going to Nordstrom to walk around.  We have had lots of visitors, so have kept super busy!!  She is quite the smiley baby, especially in the mornings.  She loves her changing table and is fascinated by black and white objects.  She has started to spit up more and will give a big grin before it starts spilling out.  Car rides most times than not will put her to sleep, which makes running errands very easy :)  My most favorite time is the mornings when we lay in bed together.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from this month:

The first month has been filled with emotions and overwhelming feelings of love. She has absolutely changed our world in the most wonderful way.  We love her so much and cannot wait to watch her grow into the beautiful baby she is.
