Double digits - 10 months!

We are in the double digits of months and two away from the big 1 year.  This month has been yet another absolute joy.  Annabelle has become such a little person and is filled with so much personality.  We are into everything and moving around like crazy!!  She is a pretty fast crawler and will be in one place one minute and out of sight the next.  She is pulling up on everything and will stand on her own for a few seconds without holding onto anything.  No signs of walking yet, although she does like to push her little shopping cart around and plays with the walkers at school.  We are eating 3 times a day and 4-5 bottles still.  We get snacks at school now, so are trying all sorts of new things.  We have tried to give her solid food and introduce her to our dinners, but she is so odd with textures.  She does not like many things and would rather have her baby food and puffs.  She does like mum-mums and other cracker type things, but won’t try cheese, rice, avocadoes…I would like to think she is not going to be a picky eater as Andy and I both like to eat, but it’s the textures that are holding her up.  And she is so dramatic about them.  We love seeing her try something new and then she gives this disgusted look on her face and will make herself gag.  Drama queen!!

We are in size 4 diapers.  We use night time diapers in the night that have a much stronger absorbent and have helped with her diaper rash!  We are wearing 18 month clothes.  Most of her 12 month clothes are too small on her.  We are weighing in at 22-1/2 pounds.  I feel  like now that she is on the move so much some of her rolls are going away L  Tear.

She goes down about 7:30-8:00 every night and will sleep until 6:00-7:00.  We still rock her down every night and she loves to hold our fingers.  This past month she has been super clingy and just wants to hold our hands if she wakes up at night.  We will go in and rub her back and she will fling her arm behind  her to hold our hand.  It’s the sweetest thing.  And just when you think she is completely out cold and you can leave, she’ll wake up if you move your hand.  But that only seems to happen when she is sick (which has been more often than not this month L).    Andy and I have spent numerous days working from  home or leaving early to get her because she was not well.  We are really happy with Annabelle’s school and she has great teachers, but the whole sick rule and  not coming back in 24 hours makes it hard for working parents.  She was out of school for one entire week and I thought I was going to lose it…all because of diarrhea, of which she got from school.  But needless to say they have been great and Annabelle loves her teacher Ms. Angel and seems to be learning a lot.

No new words, most everything is da-da or ba-ba.  We are pointing a lot.  She loves to point at the dogs and follow them around.  Her favorite thing to do is stand up on the glass doors and look outside.  Anything she can stand up on is entertaining to her, so we have to be careful with our high top chairs and lighter weight items.  She also loves the H-VAC screen and will play with it forever, while standing up!

Her smile lights us up and we could not be more thankful for such an amazing daughter!!  She’s our little stinker, pumpkin, AB, Ms. Thang.
